Just last week, we reported that it seemed like copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 had been spotted out in the wild. Users have posted photos of the game on sites like ResetEra, no doubt prompting many fans to go on blackout in an effort to avoid potential spoilers.

Now, it looks like the game has most definitely leaked, with some users posting spoilers left, right, and centre on the internet (this is why we can’t have nice things!). Not only that, but it seems a playable ROM of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been made available (thanks, Eurogamer), with YouTuber ‘SomeOrdinaryGamers’ posting a photo on Twitter of the game running on the Steam Deck.

So this is your warning, folks: if you want to avoid spoilers, you might want to be extra careful on social media from now on. Make sure to mute key words and phrases and, if necessary, limit your use in the coming days ahead of the game’s launch.

As part of Nintendo’s most recent shareholder meeting, President Shuntaro Furukawa detailed the steps the company has taken to potentially reduce leaks and security threats. While there’s no doubt it takes such leaks incredibly seriously, it seems even Nintendo’s hands are tied if a retailer decides to break the street date.

To potentially alleviate any feelings of anxiety in the midst of such a major leak, make sure you check out the most recent soundtrack reveal for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Its soothing melody and calming vocals are sure to keep you relaxed ahead of Friday.

What do you make of this latest leak? What else could Nintendo do to prevent it? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
